Victoria Rose

Victoria Rose is continually captivated by stories and communication. Victoria initiated writing workshops with the purpose of encouraging youth to become aware of what they care about, why they care about it, and how they want to express their interests. As a 2001 National Writing Project Hudson Valley Writing Project Fellow Victoria developed a writing curriculum specific to freedom of the press to accentuate the power of words. Victoria’s writing workshops have expanded to all ages and include creative projects. At Prescott College, she researched the benefits of integrating stories to improve health, education, and conflict resolution. As a Project POWER AmeriCorps member, 2005-2007 Victoria utilized narrative methods to support mentoring relationships and academic progress.

Victoria has a deep love and appreciation for nature and welcomes adventure. She spends time in Asheville, North Carolina, on the coast of Maine, and is easily diverted to places where her imagination can literally go wild.
