Susan A. Starr

Both Susan and her husband Chuck are U. S. Army retirees. Having raised two sons and traveled throughout the United States and Europe, they chose inn keeping on the coast of Maine as their second act. In 2014, Susan published Memoirs of a Mad Innkeeper, The Muffin Recipes Revealed, a collection of 42 muffin recipes and numerous short stories about life at the inn.

Her first novel, The Birthright, was published in March 2021. In writing the story, Susan accomplished a lifelong ambition, and discovered much that had been forgotten about the early days in her native Western Massachusetts. Currently, Susan and Chuck enjoy the quiet life in Trenton, with frequent visits from children, grandchildren and the many pets that accompany them.
