Sarah Walker Caron is an award-winning journalist and food writer. She is the author of eight books including The Disney Princess Tea Parties Cookbook, Classic Diners of Maine, The Super Easy 5-Ingredient Cookbook, The Easy Appetizer Cookbook, Easy Frugal Cookbook, One-Pot Pasta, Grains as Mains and Better Blog Writing. Since 2015, she's penned the food blog Sarah's Cucina Bella. She is also a senior editor at the Bangor Daily News where she oversees news of Maine's coastline.
Her essays about single motherhood, cooking, writing, technology and raising a survivor of a mass shooting have appeared in numerous publications including the Washington Post, Boston Globe, Huffington Post, The Girlfriend, SheKnows and the New Haven Register. Her work in journalism has earned her awards from the Connecticut Press Association and the Maine Press Association.
Caron teaches journalism at the University of Maine. A graduate of Barnard College, she studied political science, environmental science and English as an undergrad and utilizes that knowledge in her work now. She is also an English Masters candidate at UMaine. She lives in the Bangor area with her two kids and friendly black cat named Bippity. She is working on a novel.
