Margot Anne Kelley

Margot Anne Kelley is a writer living in Port Clyde. Her nonfiction work emphasizes human relationships to place, especially to the natural world. Her most recent book, A Gardener at the End of the World (Godine 2024), won the 2025 Maine Literary Award for Nonfiction. Her other books include Foodtopia: Communities in Pursuit of Peace, Love, & Homegrown Food, The Meadow (which she co-produced with photographer Barbara Bosworth), A Field Guide to Other People's Trees, and Local Treasures: Geocaching Across America. She's currently working on a murder mystery set at an art school in Boston.
