Jerry Farnham was born the son of a lobsterman and, at the time, a shrimp picker. He started going sternman with his father at age 6 and continued 13 years every summer, even fishing his own traps from a 12-foot skiff. Upon graduation from Boothbay Region High School, he joined the United States Navy and served his great country for eight and a half years. He did two Med Cruises and was awarded several medals and awards. He worked in the engineering spaces for half his career and base security/police for the second half. He came back to Boothbay Harbor in 2007 and worked various jobs until he attended Marine Mechanical Institute in Orlando Florida. He worked as a marine diesel mechanic and systems tech for many years and now maintains CNC machines at D&G Machine. Certainly not your typical Maine author and Red At Night is not your typical book. Romance, mystery and lobstering all taking place on the coast of Maine, Boothbay Harbor. Jerry’s first book is a tale of trying again, self-worth, and finding love where you wouldn’t expect it.
