Gillian French

Gillian French is the author of five novels for teens: Grit (HarperTeen, 2017), The Door to January (Islandport Press, 2017), The Lies They Tell (HarperTeen, 2018), The Missing Season (HarperTeen, 2019) and Sugaring Off (Algonquin Young Readers, Fall 2022). An Edgar Award, Bram Stoker Award, and International Thriller Award finalist, her short fiction has also placed in Writer's Digest and Zoetrope: All Story contests. She holds a BA in English from the University of Maine, and lives in her native state of Maine with her husband and three sons.
