Dana E. Marcoux

Dana Marcoux’s experiences expanded commonly known limits to the art of awareness, manifesting intent, energy manipulation, and the mind/body connections. His search began over forty years ago here in Portland, Maine. Starting with Transcendental Meditation - he quickly moved on to study Zen Buddhism with Zen Master Rama and continued his journeys in the abstract realms of the subconscious apprenticing with the famed author and shaman, Carlos Castaneda.

Dana executive produced the film “Carlos Castaneda - Enigma of a Sorcerer” and authored a short story, “Out in Maine,” published in the Bangor Daily News and The Portland Forecaster.

While a yoga and meditation instructor in Los Angeles, clients included celebrities, rock stars and a position running Naked Men’s Yoga LA, which brought radio and magazine interviews on NPR, The Los Angeles Times, Yogi Times and more. A hairstylist by trade, Dana also had a short career acting in films and television. He has owned three businesses and even spent time as a male escort. From run-ins with his serial killer landlady to mastering the dreaming realms, his many stories from living on the edge need to be heard.

This is Dana’s first book, he is seeking an appropriate editor for this unique memoir - The Misadventures of a Contemporary Yogi.
